Saffire USA, Inc, an iPod Accessories and Bluetooth products developer has releasesed the Premium DS-317 Stereo Speaker for the iPod player with wireless remote.
The saffire DS-317 premium audio system is designed specifically with iPod users in mind. Users will be able to dock their iPod via the built in docking station, synchronize data and charge the iPod . The unit is compact enough for desk tops at work or home use.
The DS-317 speaker produces Hi-Fi quality sound by combining Neodymium drivers and tweeters, along with a built in subwoofer for better bass and uses a 3D sound processor.

The Chrysler Group announced on Sunday that it will be the first American automaker to provide full iPod integration as an option in most of its 2006 models, with over three million 2006 Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge models offering iPod integration beginning this spring. Drivers will be able to listen to their iPod through the car’s audio system, select their music by artist, album or playlist with radio or steering wheel controls and view selections on the radio’s display.
The optional iPod Integration Kit for Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge model lines will be available to customers for the MSRP of $175 plus installation from authorized dealerships, and will debut this spring. In addition, the solution can be retrofit to many model year 2005 vehicles.

A proposed “iPod” tax is unlikely to feature in copyright laws being introduced in Australia which could finally make it legal to download music tracks from a CD onto an MP3 player.
A spokeswoman for Attorney-General Philip Ruddock said the tax was not part of a “preferred” package of proposals being considered by Mr Ruddock, who is planning to overhaul copyright laws early this year.
Levies have been adopted in Canada and a number of European countries to compensate for any lost revenue by entertainment and technology companies following a relaxation in laws for copying creative content such as music and television shows for home use.
